Nationaal Park Schiermonnikoog — Promotional film | Blksm media
Schiermonnikoog is of course a magnet for tourists. As part of the campaign Welkom in Nationaal Park Schiermonnikoog, we made 4 films to welcome guests and point out the rules at the same time.
Welkom in Nationaal Park Schiermonnikoog is an initiative by the municipality of Schiermonnikoog, VVV Schiermonnikoog, Natuurmonumenten and Nationaal Park Schiermonnikoog. With this campaign we introduce visitors to the rules of conduct in a friendly way, while also giving them a glimpse into island life and the stunning nature. In two shooting days we got to know the islanders and captured their stories on camera. They experience Schiermonnikoog every day, so they're the best people to explain why the rules matter.
Islander Janneke calls Schiermonnikoog an "oasis of calm". In the morning dew she takes us through her pick-your-own garden and tells us why that calm matters so much. Not just people, but animals too need places to retreat to.
Atze and Ellen agree: they only let their dog Colin off the leash in the designated off-leash areas. That way they protect the other animals on the island.
Event organiser Christy always puts nature first too when she's organising a wedding or a company outing. Enjoying the island should be possible, but nature can't be forgotten.
In summer especially, nature can be dangerous, says Halbe. As a volunteer with the fire brigade, he wants people to know there's a ban on smoking and open fires on the island during the summer.
Four films with a recognisable style that add depth to the existing campaign. The films are shown on the island itself and on the ferry over — the best places to reach visitors.
